Here's what each species is like to hunt.
Red Stag
Fair-chase hunting through the autumn roar, when stags are calling and moving. The classic New Zealand hunt.
Tahr
Alpine hunting above the bushline, in some of the roughest and most spectacular country the South Island has. Physical, technical, and worth every step.
Chamois
Sharp-eyed and always one ridge ahead — chamois test your glassing and your patience as much as your shooting.
Fallow Buck
Bush and open flats, close cover, a different kind of hunting rhythm than the alpine species.
