Bringing a firearm into New Zealand as a visiting hunter involves an application and permit process through New Zealand Police before you travel. Whatever your fitness level, we can build a hunt around it. Some species — Tahr and Chamois especially — are more physical than others, but I tailor the terrain and pace to who I'm guiding, not the other way around. Last season I guided a hunter using a wheelchair, and we built the whole hunt around what worked for him. Tell me honestly where you're at and I'll plan accordingly — there's no fitness level that rules out a hunt with me, just different ways of getting there.

It depends on the hunt — I don't run one fixed package for everyone. Guiding, accommodation, meals, and logistics all get shaped around what you actually want out of the trip, so inclusions are personalised to your species, dates, and goals once we talk it through. Yes. If you're bringing someone who isn't hunting, I can arrange other activities and experiences for them while you're out in the hills — just let me know when you enquire and we'll figure out what works.

Yes — I'm personally involved in every hunt we run. On some hunts I bring in one of a small number of guides I've hunted with for years and trust completely, but you'll always have my direct involvement, not a hand-off to someone you've never met.

I keep numbers deliberately small, and I'm personally involved in every one — backed by a small team of trusted guides when an extra set of hands is needed. That's the whole model.
