Fallow Buck hunting is a change of pace from the alpine species — working bush edges and open flats, often at closer range and in thicker cover. It's a good option if you want a hunt that's less about elevation and more about reading an animal at close quarters, or if you're pairing it with a Red Stag or Tahr hunt on the same trip.
Season
Runs from mid February to August. Best through the croak (rut), from April to late May.

Lower country, bush margins and open flats — easier walking than Tahr or Chamois, but the hunting itself is close and demands patience.
